A big thanks to Thom Richmond on a heads up about this great activity that is just a perfect shoe in for 365 Things To Do In Pasadena®!
The Rose Bowl is a mecca of activity and especially so in the summer. California Triathlon throws a weekly Bricnic at the Rose Bowl and invites other cycling, running, swimming and triathlon teams in the area to train together. Afterwards we throw a BBQ on site with attendance touching 100 people.

What is a brick? A combination of two different activities, i.e. biking and running. We ride multiple (flat & hilly) courses followed by a 3-4 mile run. We will mix it up over the summer to keep it fresh.
Can I just do the bike or run? Yes. But the eating/social time is mandatory.
Are all levels welcome? Yes. There is a wide array of skills and abilities. You will get stronger through the summer.
A Pasadena based group of runners, cyclists, swimmers and triathletes meet every Wednesday from March through September at Lot K of the Rose Bowl. On the first Wednesday of the month we add a Bricnic which is a BBQ where we invite friends & family after the workout.
