I first found out about Zushi Sushi when my friend Michelle Minch, top Los Angeles home stager, took me there to celebrate my birthday last July!  It turned out to be just around the corner from our real estate office, across the street from Huntington Memorial Hospital in the Vons Shopping Center.

Zushi’s concept is to introduce a Japanese Fusion Restaurant inspiring dishes from various regions and cooking techniques into a single eating experience.  As their site says, Zushi is committed to excellence and strives to provide each dining experience better than the one before.  Well, I can’t disagree.

It’s a very small, clean and trendy restaurant.  There is some outdoor seating – a few little tables in the front.  When you sit down, Miso soup and Edamame is served immediately and you can peruse their wonderful menu full of beautiful photos of their specialties.

We ordered Tempura Udon Soup which was very hot, tasty and beautifully presented.

This was followed by several cut sushi rolls, barbecue beef ribs and pan-fried gyoza.

Overall, a wonderful experience with excellent service.  The prices are very reasonable.  The atmosphere is casual and relaxed.  Check it out… you will not be disappointed.
