Easter Egg Fun Fact:
During the early Christian era, Lent was observed by abstaining from eggs. Eggs that were collected from the hen houses were kept either for hatching, or held safely to be eaten at Easter.Ā Eggs were dipped into melted mutton fat for preservation, then at Easter they were decorated to make them prettier! To get rid of the surplus, they were given away, especially to children. Egg decorating may have become a tradition because it was believed that a pretty egg tastes best ! –Thanks to Maria at MajasKitchen.com for this fun anecdote.
Now I know why we have such beautifully decorated chocolate eggs and candy treats during Easter, the brighter they are the better they should taste! š
The Pasadena Views Real Estate Team wishes you and yours blessed Easter celebrations!
