We have featured the historic districts of Pasadena before as some of our 365 Things To In Pasadena activities.
This week, Day 329 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena invites you to attend the 22nd Annual Bungalow Heaven Home Tour.
Embark on a self -guided walking tour and visit the beautiful neighborhood of historic Arts & Crafts and Revival-era homes in Pasadena’s first Landmark District which is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
2011 Bungalow Heaven Home Tour takes place Sunday, April 10th from 11 am until 4 pm
As you enjoy your stroll through Bungalow Heaven, you’ll find more than just homes on these streets! There will be demonstrations, raffles, food, music, and the Bungalow Heaven mercantile. A highlight is the Living History Home featuring costumed actors portraying a family and their activities of the period.
This year’s Living History home is a 1912 bungalow that the owners have furnished with authentic mid-century and mid-century inspired pieces. “This eclectic mix of arts & crafts architecture and mid-century furnishings works beautifully, as several of the elements of both architectural styles have commonalities,” said Kristin Stone, the acclaimed creator and producer of “Inside Private Lives.” This is the third year Kristen has written, produced and performed in the Living History Home tour.
As you roam this historic neighborhood and view home interiors, docents will be on hand to offer commentary and answer questions.

On the day of the tour, tickets, as well as maps and an informational brochure, will be available at McDonald Park at the intersection of Mar Vista Avenue and Mountain Street for $20 per person.
Bungalow Heaven is located north of the 210 Freeway, between Lake and Hill avenues. It is bordered on the north and south by Washington and Orange Grove boulevards.
