Calling all Nicholas Sparks fans!
Day 130 of 365 things to do in Pasadena sends us to the book signing and discussion of Nicholas Sparks newest novel Safe Haven.
Now some of you may be thinking “I know that name but…. “. Nicholas Sparks is known for his works A Walk to Remember, The Notebook, Dear John, The Last Song, and numerous other New York Times Best sellers.
We aren’t biased or anything, but a few of us here at PasadenaViews have read almost every Nicholas Sparks novel and visited the beautiful state of North Carolina. For those of you who may not know, North Carolina is the setting for most of the stories.
If you a have never read a Nicholas Sparks novel and are a hopeless romantic you may want to give him a try ;-).
Here is a little sampling of what to expect from his newest book, Safe Haven.
When a mysterious woman named Katie appears in the small North Carolina town of Southport, her sudden arrival raises questions about her past. Katie remains closed off until a series of events draws her into two reluctant relationships: one with Alex, a widowed store owner with two young children; and another with her plainspoken single neighbor, Jo. As Katie begins to let her guard down and fall in love, she struggles with the dark secret that still haunts and terrifies her. As she confronts her past and realizes she must make a choice, she will discover that in the darkest hour, love is the only safe haven.
