Hey Pasadena!
It’s time to get out and enjoy the beautiful Southern California Beaches.
Not sure where you should head off to?
Let the 365 Things to in Pasadena™ Team guide you in the right direction!
Santa Monica Beach
Known for it’s World Famous Pier, you are sure to find something for everyone to enjoy here! The shoreline is spectacular, the water is refreshing, and you are surrounded by fun pier top rides & games, restaurants, boutiques, and much more. Ever visited the Annenberg Community Beach House? It has been open to the Public since 2009, and offers a look back into Santa Monica History and may be just the beach side oasis you are looking for.
Malibu Beach
As you are cruising along PCH, take in the sites of the surfers cruising along the pristine waters of Surfrider Beach. As you journey on, you’ll notice rows of restaurants, boutiques, and much more. It’s a great place to get away, splash around, and enjoy a beautiful Southern California Day.
Did you also know there was an RV Park in Malibu? So if you’re thinking a taking a good ole family road trip in the RV, wouldn’t hurt to stop into Malibu for a night or two! 🙂
Zuma Beach
Irina’s personal favorite! Get there early, preferably before 10 am for easier parking. Gorgeous, sandy beach where you can always see dolphins, seals and pelicans. Celebrity sightings are fairly common as well.
Venice Beach Boardwalk
Home to the World Famous Muscle Beach, the Venice Beach Boardwalk is a must see when if you looking to do a Southern California Beach Tour.
Popularized in the 1950’s and 60’s as a hang out for the artistic and creative, passers by could always take in the sounds of poetry reading, or local handcrafted art while strolling along the boardwalk. Did you know that Jack Lalanne worked out here? And… so did Arnold Schwartzenegger!
No trip to California is complete without a trip to Venice’s Muscle Beach!
These days you never know what you’ll see as you take in the sights and sounds of Venice Beach.
Huntington Beach
Great place to enjoy your beach cruisers! Huntington Beach also known as “Surf City” has so much to offer. If you don’t feel like packing up your own bikes, there are plenty of locations for you to find rentals, of both beach cruisers and pedal cars, water equipment rentals are also available.
Off of the pier there are rows upon rows of shops, restaurants, and boutiques to take in. On most weekends you’ll find the beach front promenade filled with vendors and snack stops.
No need to leave your doggies at home for this beach trip! Bring them down and let them splash around. There are two Dog Beaches to enjoy!
Long Beach
Fan of the show CSI Miami? Well guess where their movie magic really happens… beautiful Long Beach California.
Home to the Queen Mary, The Aquarium of the Pacific, Long Beach Museum of Art, and many more exciting places to visit. Long Beach offers both the young and the young at heart a great place to enjoy and play the summer days and nights away.
