Pasadena Museum of History invites everyone to enjoy a perfect Sunday summer afternoon in our gardens and galleries, filled with entertainment and activities for everyone in the family, Sunday, July 22 from Noon to 4:00 pm. Admission and parking are free!
Shoppers and browsers will enjoy our Artist Showcase, featuring stunning art, jewelry, and conversation pieces by local artists from the Pasadena area especially selected for this event. Many of these artists are represented year ’round in the Museum Store, but this is a rare opportunity to see an expanded line of their fine merchandise. What a perfect opportunity to get an early start on holiday gift purchases or items for your own enjoyment! Featured artists include: Karen C. Bagnard, Charlotte Barnard, Designs by Suzzanne, Leaf Motif, Yvonne Lewis “The Hat Lady,” Little Muse Designs, Cathy Reichel-Clark, Rosi Ceramics, Urban Homestead Farmstand & Supply, Rhea Vittal, and Lucia Yang.
You’ll be inspired by the beauty of the San Gabriel Valley after strolling through the Museum’s current exhibition, Contemporary Masters: Artistic Eden III. This invitational, juried art exhibit spotlights the works of 43 nationally-recognized representational artists, selected from submissions by more than 200 artists nationwide. After all this art-immersion, try your hand at creating your own masterpiece of wearable art in our summer hat making workshop.
Need some exercise? Join us for old-time games in the Fenyes Estate Gardens. You can show off your skills playing horseshoes, croquet, or badminton and imagine what life was like here on “Millionaire’s Row” for families a century ago.
