It’s not too crazy to say there could be 365 things to do in Pasadena each week! For this weekend here are just a handful which I personally recommend. Personally, because for one thing I happen know, or have met, some of the good people behind all these events, and well, I just like these particular ”things to do” in Pasadena this weekend! I think most of you, to say the least, will love them also! And secondly, because I try to select only events which are FREE or very low cost.
Saturday
WOMEN’S CITY CLUB of PASADENA Spring Boutique & Club Fair. 10am-4pm. FREE! Also an opportunity to socialize and to inquire about membership and meet some members! I’m neither member or woman, but I’ve been to the women’s club many times for what not that some may think I am! Annual CALTECH JAZZ FESTIVAL! 1-6pm at the Gates Patio at CalTech campus (in the center of campus). And you thought CalTech was just into science & tech! They’re artistic & creative wiz’s too! FREE. BOOK EVENT: Lian Dolan, aka Helen of Pasadena to me!, one of my favorite authors and Pasadenan’s, interviews Christine Moore & Cecilia Leung authors of the “Little Flower Baking” cookbook. CHILD’S PLAY: Music in Celebration of Childhood. Works by Mozart, Bizet, Ravel, Musgrave & others, featuring PCC Pianists. 8pm at Westerbeck Recital Hall at the Center for the Arts, Pasadena City College.
