What do you like about the neighborhood?
The neighborhood has a great mix of people, from students to seniors. You’re ideally situated between the Lake Ave District and Old Town Pasadena. There is a lot to do, from great shopping and fine dining, and everything in-between. The movie theatre and playhouse are within walking distance, which means you don’t have to pay for parking! You get to experience the Rose Bowl Parade within a few blocks of home, and during the summer there are plenty of free outdoor movie nights and concerts at the various parks and plazas. Pasadena also has the best light rail service of all. Trains run approximately every 7 minutes to Downtown LA. You can be in the heart of downtown in 20 minutes to catch the latest show at the Disney Concert Hall, or Ahmanson, all without having to deal with LA traffic. Mt Lowe hiking trail is a 10 min away by car.
Any recommended restaurants in the area and what do you love about them?
Too many to mention; Magnolia House, Union, Green Street Tavern, Racion, Malbec, Urban Plates, Counter Burger, Umami, Akbar, Blaze Pizza, Pie Hole, Bengees Ice Cream, Cool Haus Ice Cream, Afters Ice Cream, and the list goes on….. the ones mentioned here are all great!
Anything else that you’d like the buyers to know?
I’ve enjoyed the home very much and if I weren’t moving out of the area I would not be selling! It’s a great home in a very nice neighborhood. Pasadena is walk-able, bike friendly, has lots of trees and is very green, is close to the mountains, has a college town vibe, and is sophisticated yet friendly.
