Day 31 of 365 Things To Do In Pasadena ™ takes us to my favorite Pasadena Grill – Smitty’s!
Smitty’s Grill is located in the heart of the South Lake Avenue District. The place is always busy and reservations are definitely recommended. I guess one word to describe this restaurant would be”classy”.
Service is awesome, from the valet parking (accessed through the back of the restaurant via Shoppers Lane) to the host/hostess and the actual service at the table. I have always felt welcomed whether casually dressed or going there on a special occasion.
Smitty’s offers a variety of seating options. My favorite is the back patio with a wonderful fireplace on cool evenings. Or, the main seating inside the restaurant with deep and comfortable leather booths and classically set tables.
The bar which lines the side of the restaurant is awesome with the most amazing home-made potato chips. So… if you have to wait a few minutes for a table, you’ll do so in comfort with goodies to snack on.
My favorite dishes are… don’t laugh… liver and onions… but it’s absolutely delicious. And, their Cornmeal Crusted Idaho Rainbow Trout is to die for. My family loves their corn bread and mashed potatoes.
