Want to be transported to a different place in time full of romance and whimsy? Visit the Rose Tree Cottage, our day 206 of 365 Things To Do In Pasadena. Named for the rose covered cottage where the tea house got its start, Rose Tree Cottage now located in a pillared mansion on a tree-lined street in Pasadena, is still full of charm.
Known for its home-made scones with clotted cream and jams, British tea and ambiance, Rose Tree Cottage offers a unique experience for Los Angeles area tea lovers. It allows you to imagine yourself in a different era, finger sandwiches, butlers, lady-like manners and pretty dresses. You literally feel like you are in a movie set, so let your imagination take over.
Reservations are required a week in advance and cancellations require 24 hour notice since food is especially prepared in advance based on the number in your party.
Check their website for their special events like their festive annual Special Event Teas which celebrate Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, the Official Birthday of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Safari Teas and more.
Don’t forget that reservations are required and do come early since parking can be tough on Pasadena Avenue.
