Day 275 of 365 Things To Do takes you to Webster’s Fine Stationers in Altadena. I finally had a chance to visit Webster’s yesterday for their Fancy Food Truck Friday event and what a fun visit it was.
First of all, I met Lori Webster, whose business acumen I’ve been admiring for awhile now. She has been working tirelessly to put Webster’s on the tip of everyone’s consciousness in the social media marketing arena. You can follow Lori on Twitter here.
Secondly, anyone that knows me, knows that if I’m greeted by chocolate, I am sold… Webster’s Fine Stationers not only had chocolate, they had chocolate covered strawberries and wine tasting! That’s my kind of a boutique store!
Lori and her husband Scott took over the Stationer’s store in 2007 from Bill Webster who retired at that time. They are third generation owners and are proud to continue building their store with strong ties to the surrounding community. They also focus on running a boutique that is socially and ecologically responsible. You can see that in their selection of items by local artists and their support of local companies.
This is more than just a stationary store. They have home decor items, art supplies, hard-to-find fun and humorous office gifts, calendars, shopping bags and just so much more…
If you are still looking for something special and just a bit out of the ordinary, run over to Webster’s tomorrow since they have a great supply of greeting cards perfect for Valentine’s Day and plenty of other goodies to choose from. Set aside plenty of time to peruse the store.
Free gift wrapping, lemonade and coffee is available. Who can ask for anything more? Have you been to Webster’s? What’s your favorite find?
