If you have never been to the ArcLight movie theater located in the heart of Paseo Colorado, you are missing out on a one of a kind movie experience. “At ArcLight, we don’t just offer a movie; we offer a movie experience” (source).
Part of this experience involves the museum quality exhibits that are changed throughout the year. Different locations have everything from unique storyboards, to authentic costumes, to award-winning art works that are there to teach and inspire. On August 5th, the ArcLight in Pasadena opened up a new exhibit which features beautiful Oil Paintings by Bonnie Lambert.
- A little info about the Artist: “Bonnie Lambert graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee with a BFA in theatre and moved to Philadelphia for 17+ years where she was a professional actress. In 1989 Lambert moved to Southern California, where she transitioned into graphic design. She took classes at the Art Center School of Design in Pasadena and studied painting with artists David Limrite, Ray Turner and Mark Strickland. Lambert began attending a painting workshop given by the museum-collected Chicana artist Margaret Garcia. Ms. Garcia became Lambert’s mentor, which led to a solo show at the Garcia Studio. In her California Expressionist style, Bonnie paints scenes of Greater Los Angeles neighborhoods—from Hollywood to Long Beach; the San Fernando Valley to Pasadena; Burbank, South Central, and many more.” (source)
