Welcome to the city of Glendale! Glendale was incorporated in 1906 and currently has a population of about 196,000 residents. It is the 3rd largest city in Los Angeles and 22nd in the State of California. With a city so big, there are over 30 different neighborhoods to choose and settle into – from Montrose, Sparr Heights, San Raphael Hills, Whiting Woods, Scholl Canyon, Rossmoyne & Adams Hill to name more than just a few.
Glendale is conveniently located next to 4 major highways, the I-210 Ventura Fwy, I-2 Glendale Fwy, I-5 Sacramento Fwy & the I-134 Ventura Fwy, 20 minute drive to Downtown Los Angeles and the Bob Hope Burbank Airport. Glendale prides itself on the fact that most of the public schools in the city are California Blue Ribbon schools. It is surrounded by Atwater Village to the south, Sun Valley and Tujunga to the northwest, Burbank and Griffith Park to the west, and Eagle Rock and Pasadena to the east.
The city of Glendale bustles with its mega shopping sites like the Americana at Brand which houses outdoor shopping, restaurants and a movie complex. On any given day you could sit out and enjoy an amazing water show paired with a variety of different style of music depending on the day and evening.

Brand Park has a great art library that has tons of information on Glendale History. If you love the outdoors, you must take a hike at the adjacent La Crescenta, Deukmejian Wilderness Park. This park is never over crowded and provides a peaceful place to relax. It is a true hidden gem in the city.

The meat dishes are juicy and seasoned well, while the hummus and salads are authentic and homemade. The food is consistently good and the service is friendly. There is an ample amount of parking.

Cozy family owned cafe and bakery serving scrumptious European baked goods. Lovely breakfast choices from Brussels waffles, granola to fresh fruits and Swedish style oatmeal. Great variety of sandwiches, panini and salads for lunch. Their Princess cake and Opera Cake are to die for as well as their Danishes, freshly baked loafs of bread, croissants and seasonal saffron buns and semlor (lent bun)!

Like their bakery in Burbank, this Porto’s is off the hook with their famous deep fried potato balls, guava cheese rolls, moist tres leches cake, Cuban sandwiches, and homemade pastries! Definitely worth a stop at this place if you are in the area.

If you are looking for a nice shopping mall, this one has a good selection of brand name stores and restaurants. It even has one of the only LEGO stores in the greater Los Angeles area – perfect for the little ones!
Forest Lawn Memorial Park
This cemetery has many Hollywood tributes and exhibits that attract a lot of tourists every year including those like Jimmy Stewart and Errol Flynn. Other famous stars like Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor are resting in the lower levels of the cemetery where there is no public access.
