After many an urging from a fellow real estate agent Kathy Schowe, who relocated from Pasadena to Palm Springs, I finally had an opportunity to visit Father Nature and taste their Lavash Wrap!
This brings us to day 118 of 365 Things To Do In Pasadena and a great lunch! As Kathy describes it, if you feel like garlicky goodness wrapped up in a healthy lavash, visit Father Nature. It’s located immediately behind 21 Choices Yogurt on DeLacey in Old Pasadena. Perfect for sharing lunch with a friend since these wraps are humungous! We tried their Grilled Chicken Wrap with extra Tahini sauce. Only $7.75, split 2 ways, makes it an unbelievable price for lunch! Ellie, tried their Falafel Wrap which for half a wrap was only $4.95 – full wrap is $5.95.
Please note that it takes longer for the Falafel Wrap to be prepared so if you are on a time schedule, you might want to pick something else.
You can help yourself to a side bar of pickled vegetables including peppercinis, carrots, pickles, cabbage and cauliflower pieces. Perfect complement for the wraps. Salads are available as well as most of the wraps can be ordered on a baguette which is french pressed.
Father Nature was originally opened in Tarzana California and is a family affair. They moved in Old town Pasadena and have established themselves as a healthy alternative for fast food with fair prices.
As we were enjoying our wraps, there was a constant stream of people ordering both take out and eating in. The food is great and was very enjoyable. Service however was … well… a bit lacking. Hoping it was just an odd moment.
