Pasadena Heritage is once again arranging a very special event for the public! This time the walking tour and lecture will encompass the early garden complexes on South Orange Grove Boulevard, also known as “Millionaire’s Row”. The area was once known for it’s majestic Victorian style mansions but like many of the Pasadena neighborhoods this too, experienced a shift in architectural style during the last century.
On May 16, starting at 10 am you will have the chance to experience the history behind the architectural shift and the rise of the Mid-Century homes on South Orange Grove Boulevard. The tour will start off with a lecture that speaks about the story behind the incredible transformation, the list of prominent home owners and also the architects who were involved in building the beautiful garden complexes. After the lectures follows a walk of selected locations, unit interiors and private courtyards.
