Pasadena Chalk Festival 2012 will be back on June 16th and 17th at Pasaseo Colorado. This will be the 20th Anniversary of this amazingly fun activity and definitely not to be missed by our 365 Things To Do In Pasadena® fans and a fun thing to do for Father’s day!
Hundreds of artists come from all across Southern California to spend two days on their hands and knees creating spectacular chalk murals on concrete areas in every style imaginable. In addition to the extraordinary opportunity to watch artists at work, guests are treated to live music an entertainment throughout the weekend.

Last weekend, I had the privilege of attending the Pasadena Chalk Festival, an artist’s dream come true! :).
The annual Pasadena Chalk Festival took place in the Paseo Plaza on Colorado Boulevard last weekend. Aside from eye-catching art, you could snack on free slurpees at the 7-11 truck or buy a bacon-wrapped hot dog to satisfy your hunger. From renaissance creations to modern day representations, the Pasadena Chalk Festival was a medley of inspiration.
