Day 7 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena™
Have you experienced Music Under the Stars? If not, grab a blanket or a lawn chair and head over to The Centennial Square of Pasadena’s City Hall this Saturday! Witness the magic of music as The Pasadena Symphony and POPs kick off their summer concert series with a free concert for the community.
With generous support from Target, Parsons and The City of Pasadena, Centennial Square will be transformed into a magnificent outdoor arena for this summers concert series celebration!
You are invited to gather with family and friends for a wonderful night of entertainment.
Pre-concert fun will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will feature Kidspace Children’s Museum activities. Also performing will be the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus and the Donald Brinegar Singers .
For all you food enthusiasts, there will be a savory selection of gourmet foods to choose from!
The Place LA will be on site offering comfort food classics such as burgers, fries, and grilled Cheese sandwiches along with some Mexican dish favorites.
The Green Truck will also be on site, they specialize in healthy gourmet organic cuisine. On their menu you’ll find burgers, burritos, wraps, and sandwiches along with a variety of organic all-natural beverages and snacks.
Last but certainly not least, The Sweets Truck (and… I know that Irina has been waiting to try this one for awhile now) will be stopping by serving up an array of delicious baked goods, espresso drinks, coffees and teas. A few of their signature specials include: Red Velvet cookies, Carrot Cake cookies, and some oh so amazing fudge cookie bars! Their menu changes regularly so we will just have to see what’s in store when they arrive.
Now that we know menu, let’s take a look into the sounds and songs of the evening.
The Music Under the Stars repertoire will include: Star Wars Suite, Circle of Life from the Lion King, Ragtime, Pink Panther, There’s No Business Like Show Business, a Duke Ellington medley, Firebird Suite and much more!
