2 Be ? – World Premiere by San Marino High School Drama
San Marino, California – Yesterday, I was fortunate enough to be invited for a run through of a totally original, new play that will be presented to the community tonight and tomorrow – 2 Be?
The play was written and directed by Blake Williams and will be presented at the Fringe Festival in Edinburgh Scottland next month. San Marino High School received this prestigious invitation, as one of only 42 United States schools, to represent their school and our community.
In speaking with Blake Williams, she wanted to showcase the talents of the performers in a totally unique way. This play is about the students, teenagers that have to deal with an over abundance of technology, the pressures from home and the ever-changing world filled with uncertainty.
2 Be? explores emotions that we all, teenagers or not, have to grasp with in an unconventional presentation. The actors had only 4 weeks to rehearse, but you wouldn’t know it. Their passion for the subject is apparent and the acting and presentation is superb.
Please stop by to see this original play and support the Drama Department during their fundraiser performance!
Here’s the Press Release that was sent by the Drama Department earlier in the week:
