Are you a a fan of Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas?
Well, Day 278 of 365 Things To Do in Pasadena brings you the opportunity to meet him up close and personal.
Taboo will be at Vroman’s bookstore in Pasadena Sunday, February 20th at 1:00 pm signing his book Fallin’ Up: My Story.
Born in East L.A. in an area notorious for street gangs and poverty, Taboo was haunted by the environment that surrounded him, certain it shaped his destiny. Yet, steered by his dreams to be a performer and assisted by fate, young Jimmy Gomez was transformed when he discovered the world of hip-hop. From becoming a father at age eighteen to his almost career-ending collision with drugs and alcoholism, he chased his dreams with his relentless tenacity and self-belief, refusing to surrender regardless of what life threw at him.
Taboo hopes to be able to inspire anybody who’s ever had to rise above adversity. He wants to share his story with his fans in hopes of reaching out to those who strive for a better life and those who are determined to making their dreams a reality.
Be sure to post your pictures with Taboo on our wall! 😉
