You can also help support the producer of these pop-up art gallery exhibitions – The Surrogate Gallery Projects (SGP) – by participating in their Silent Art Auction or simply making a donation. I’ve met “The Surrogate” behind SGP, Holly Boruck – a Pasadena NATIVE! – and the curator, Erika Lizee, and both are good people doing great work! Pasadena Chalk Festival. In the Paseo Colorado, 300 E. Colorado Blvd, 91101. 10am-7pm. The big annual event where artists show their unbelievable talents with chalk – on pavement – of the Paseo Colorado on both levels! Plus, Live Music, Art Gallery & Silent Auction, Kids Chalkland, and the lastly, the awards ceremony to reward the best of show chalk artists on Sunday 7pm! More info: Pasadena Chalk Fest 2016

15th Annual CLASSIC CAR SHOW of Chief Phillip Sanchez’s Pasadena’s Police Department! I regularly see the Chief always out in town supporting the good deeds of others in the city so come on out to his event! On the 300 block of E. Green Street between the Paseo Colorado & the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. 10am-3pm. All proceeds benefit the Pasadena PAL Program, Peace Over Violence Organization and The Pasadena Police Explorer Post. Food booths, raffle prizes, and, a Police Helicopter Ride Auction! Dr. Fred E.C. Culick, of Cal Tech: SUCCESS at LAST his talk and visual presentation on The Wright Brothers & the Invention of the Airplane.
